In 1970, a deal was struck for Selmer of Elkhart to distribute Premier drums in the USA. Selmer published their own catalogues and some of the items in them were not shown in the UK catalogues, A range of drums call the 6000 were shown but in the UK these drums were branded Beverley. The Olympic range also got a unique badge. Selmer gave the sets names like "Superstar" and "Gigmaker" while over here in the UK we were stuck with "505" and "303" This arrangment lasted until the early 80`s by which time Selmer had bought The Ludwig Drum Co.
